Trials of the Cybermancer! – Chapter 5: Genesis Crushed

Here we are.

An array of snacks from Fami cover the coffee table. Everything from eclairs to cheese dip to some good old fashioned Cosmic Brownies, along with the main dish of two boxes of chili cheese fries. Everything is set.

Trials of the Cybermancer! – Chapter 4: K-Store Shenanigans

Am I destined to be destroyed today?

I just turned twenty-two like, two weeks ago. Going out so young, by something so stupid… it would be embarrassing.

I don’t want to die again so soon.

Trials of the Cybermancer! – Chapter 3: May the Fourth Be with Us

It’s a big crowd, but I spot Karina as soon as her bright-yellow sundress enters my field of vision.

She’s not hard to pick out of a crowd, the way she awkwardly shambles through the scene. I know she’s pretty uncomfortable when a lot of people are around, pretty bad at dealing with talking to strangers, but I have to admit she is consistently adorable in all of these situations. Please don’t tell her I said that.

02 – Trials of the Cybermancer! – Chapter 1: Trials and Trivialities

(art by Yukimaru)

I’m used to getting beaten up, but this is a new level.

A metallic fist crashes into my face and sends me reeling backwards. My body skids on the asphalt and comes to a stop right on the dotted white line. There’s a garbage truck headed this way.

Before I let myself get squished like a friggin’ cartoon character, I pick myself back up, wipe the blood off my face, and glare at my foes on the sidewalk.

The Social Media Killer – Chapter 33: The Aftermath of All of It

I enter work in the morning, wearing the same pretty-dirty cream-colored suit I’ve had since I started staying at Karina’s place the other night. Banks don’t usually open on Sundays, but Atlanta Cares is special. It’s in the name and everything.

The Social Media Killer – Chapter 31: Welp

“I honestly didn’t expect to get caught so easily,” Karina says as we are both escorted down the hallway and around the corner, handcuffed and guns pointed to our sides. “I really thought your plan was going to work.”

“I said it was a stupid plan.”

“Yeah, but I don’t know, that kind of stupid is usually the kind that works. You know?”

“Maybe we did something wrong. Was it the empty pizza boxes that gave it away?”

“Not sure. Maybe it was just too early in the morning for pizza.”

The Social Media Killer – Chapter 30: Showdown in Downtown

We arrive at the entrance to Mayor Epstein’s office, a towering building among towering buildings. There are security guards along each of the doors to the building, but they don’t seem to be reacting in any panic, which means Jones has not yet struck.

If this works out, we’ll be able to stop her in time. If it doesn’t, we’ll probably end up dead and Atlanta will fall apart.

The Social Media Killer – Chapter 29: Sunny-Side Up

It’s been a while since I had the opportunity to cook anything. So I ran over to Fami really early in the morning, picked up food stuff, and now I’m making some breakfast for the rest of this little party here.
